With 5.9% of all Frederick County businesses being Black-owned and a community anchored by institutions like AT Solutions DMV, Le Bijoux Day Spa, Jollof on Point, and Tropix Pots, Frederick is proving that Black entrepreneurship thrives outside of major urban centers. The I-270 corridor, the downtown historic district, and the surrounding neighborhoods are all part of a Gem City business community that is just getting started.
